MTS TV adds 1,000 apartment units, is past 56,000 subs

WINNIPEG – MTS TV will be installed in 1,000 new apartments thanks to a new deal between MTS Allstream and Apex Realty Properties.

It will also be marketed to tenants in an additional 1,500 units.

MTS TV is the digital television service from provincial telco MTS Allstream which offers such services as call display on the TV screen to people in Winnipeg. Apartments and condos are key wins for any distributor because their high density limits install costs.

"We are very pleased to have taken MTS TV to almost every corner of Winnipeg, and thanks to our customers enthusiastic response to the service we have grown past 56,000 MTS TV subscribers," said Kelvin Shepherd, president consumer markets MTS Allstream Inc. "Our arrangement with Apex Realty allows us to offer MTS TV to residents in multiple-dwelling units in many locations across Winnipeg and represents a great opportunity for us to sign up more customers to our full portfolio of services."

Apex Realty manages over 3,000 residential apartment units in the City of Winnipeg.
