WINNIPEG – MTS and the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers are giving Manitoba youth something to cheer about this season.
MTS is donating 100 tickets to every Bomber home game to United Way of Winnipeg to distribute to its youth serving agencies. Local youth who would not usually have the opportunity to attend a game will now, along with their families, be able to cheer on the team from the new ‘MTS Zone’ in section A at Canad Inns Stadium. Guests will also receive a limited edition name-and-number t-shirt from Blue Bomber players Buck Pierce or Fred Reid.
"MTS is a huge supporter of United Way and applauds the agency for everything it does for youth here in Manitoba and across Canada," said president Kelvin Shepherd, in the announcement. "As the home team telecommunications provider in Manitoba, we are always looking for ways to give back to the community and by partnering with the Blue Bombers, we will be able to provide young people and their families the opportunity to take part in a proud Winnipeg tradition."
