MTS promotes Prevost, Peirce



WINNIPEG – Dean Prevost is the new president of MTS Allstream’s Enterprise Solutions division, effective today.

Reporting to CEO Pierre Blouin, Prevost has been with the company for 11 years, most recently as chief corporate officer. He will succeed John A. MacDonald who recently announced his retirement after six years with the company.

"Dean Prevost is a proven leader in our industry and our company for his strategic perspectives on the shifting growth opportunities and market realities in telecom today," said Blouin in the release. "Dean has deep experience working across our business and also provides executive continuity. He has the strategic depth and the operational competence to continue driving the growth of our Enterprise division into a leading national competitor."

Chris Peirce will assume the CCO role, which will be expanded to incorporate regulatory and legal.

The company also noted that its executive management structure will remain streamlined from 10 members to 8 members effective January 1, 2009.
