MTS launches HD in parts of Winnipeg

WINNIPEG - MTS Allstream has gone HD to select Winnipeg customers. MTS HDTV has combined technology from Alcatel-Lucent Canada with the Microsoft Mediaroom Internet protocol television (IPTV) software platform to offer 30 HDTV channels, with more promised for later this year, a PVR, and an interactive program guide with built-in picture-in-picture.
