MTS extends its LTE wireless data network to more communities

HAMIOTA, MB – MTS has expanded its 4G LTE wireless network to Hamiota and MacGregor, the latest in a series of expansions that has brought LTE technology to 30 rural Manitoba communities this year.

In 2015, MTS has expanded its 4G LTE network in The Pas, Beausejour, Pinawa, Elie, Winnipeg Beach, Stonewall, Niverville, Minnedosa, La Salle, Lockport, St Andrew's, Beausejour, Oakbank, Grunthal, Lee River, Kleefeld, Belair, Nopiming, Russell, Anola, Souris, Carberry, Arborg, Lac du Bonnet, Morris, Neepawa, and Treherne.

"More than 1 million Manitobans now have access to MTS's 4G LTE Wireless Network," said CEO Jay Forbes, in the news release.  "LTE offers download speeds up to 150 Mbps, ensuring customers enjoy their new LTE smartphones to the fullest. The MTS 4G LTE Wireless Network gives LTE devices the power to stream movies and download music, pictures and apps faster than ever before; to play multi-player games; and to quickly access emails and business documents."
