MPA points Canadians towards legal content

TORONTO – The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has unveiled a new website to help Canadians access movies and television shows seamlessly and legally.

Where To Watch In Canada lists services available in Canada in alphabetical order, from ABC Spark to YTV, with the likes of Crackle, Google Play and Netflix in the middle.

“Our industry is dedicated to delivering innovative ways for audiences to enjoy high quality, legal entertainment that is safe and secure”, reads the site’s news release.  “Entertainment studios are working with new technologies and a multitude of partners, including retailers, cable providers, social networking sites, gaming systems and new websites devoted to online distribution, to bring the magic of movies and television shows to consumers in a myriad of ways, and to cater to every manner of consumer viewing including download-to-own, subscription viewing, rental viewing and ad-supported viewing.”

The MPA said that it will offer a more robust site once the new MPA-Canada.org makes its debut in the new year.
