Motorola objects to Nortel’s choice of CEO

TORONTO – Motorola has filed a lawsuit in Illinois saying that its former president, Mike Zafirovski, can not be CEO of Nortel. The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that Zafirovski, who resigned earlier this year as Motorola's president and chief operating officer, “has breached various agreements with Motorola by accepting this position with Nortel and that this position with Nortel will inevitably result in the use or disclosure of Motorola's trade secrets,” says a release from Nortel.
