Motion Picture Association adds Amazon Prime Video, MGM Studios as member

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) announced Thursday that Amazon Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios will become members of the global trade association representing the largest film, TV and streaming companies on October 1. Amazon will be the seventh member of the trade group, which works to advance the interests of the industry, and joins Netflix, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, The Walt Disney Studios, and Warner Bros.
