More Italia on Rogers, from TLN

TORONTO – Rogers Cable today announced the addition of the Super Trio Italiano package to its digital lineup.

The Super Trio Italiano package consists of Video Italia, Leonardo World, SKY TG 24. All are from Telelatino and were launched by Videotron in Montreal and Gatineau earlier this summer.

With the launch of these three new channels, Italian Canadians can now watch more Italian programming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

"We are thrilled that the Super Trio Italiano is now also available to Roger Cable customers in Ontario and we are proud to bring to Canada new premium quality television from Italy to complement the thousands of hours of top Italian language programming already on TLN," said Aldo Di Felice, TLN president, in the press release.

"We recognize the diversity of our customers and are committed to giving them a Personal TV experience that allows them to watch what they want, when they want it. Rogers continues to offer its customers the most multicultural programming with 32 channels," said David Purdy, vice-president and general manager, television for Rogers Cable.

Video Italia is a channel that celebrates Italian music featuring concerts, interviews and videos from popular Italian musicians.

Leonardo World is a lifestyle and culture channel profiling the best of Italy’s food, wine, scenery, motor cars, fashion, design, art and architecture.

SKY TG 24 is an all-news, information and talk channel, covering world news, domestic Italian business and politics, lifestyle trends, personalities and sports. It also features unique Canadian and Italian documentaries and non- fiction programs.

A free preview of these channels is available until August 31st, 2005 on channels 641, 642 and 643 to Rogers Digital Cable customers in Ontario.

The Super Trio Italiano will then be available for $14.95 per month or the channels can be purchased individually for $7.99 each per month.
