Montreal agency partners with Drupal

MONTREAL – Montreal web agency TP1 Internet 360 has partnered with Acquia, the company founded by Drupal creator Dries Buytaert which provides technical support and network services for the popular Drupal social publishing system.

Drupal is a free, social publishing software that allows individuals, companies or communities to publish, manage and organize content on a website, community web portal, social networking site, or blog. It is an open-source software distributed under a general public license, and is maintained and developed by a community of thousands of users and developers.

Organizations using Drupal include the United Nations, the Walt Disney Company, SonyBMG, Virgin Radio and the US government, which relies on Drupal to power recovery.org, the Obama administration’s website for its economic recovery efforts.

Acquia provides commercially supported Drupal distributions, technical support, and value-added network services for Drupal.

"We are extremely proud to be the first web agency in Quebec to partner with Acquia," said Jan-Nicolas Vanderveken, partner at TP1, in a press release. "Drupal is the most powerful social publishing system available today. Joining the Acquia Partner program will permit us to create innovative web 2.0 applications for organizations requiring commercially supported software.”

TP1 has delivered Drupal-powered websites to the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, the Dairy Farmers of Canada, FairWinds Partners, the MBA Association of Quebec and Tourisme Laval, among others.
