MoboVivo gets artsy

SUNNYVALE, CA – Calgary-based MoboVivo will work with video art provider ShinyArt to build a global video art distribution platform.

The platform will be powered by MoboVivo’s myScreens platform, which enables content providers to deliver and monetize entertainment content to HDTV and mobile screens using a single cloud-based infrastructure.

“This is a great demonstration of how myScreens creates unique business value for content providers by reaching across screens and platforms to directly engage customers,” said founder and CEO, Trevor Doerksen, in the announcement.

ShinyArt rents video art for flat screen televisions either at home, or in public and corporate spaces.  It currently provides video art to businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the company said that the myScreens platform is key to expanding its distribution footprint.

“The art world is going through profound changes thanks to new video streaming technology. With myScreens, ShinyArt will be able to turn any screen into a canvas for contemporary video art,” said founder and CEO, Kristy Phillips. “Soon, artwork that could only be seen in a gallery will be accessible at any screen, at any time.”

The ShinyArt myScreens platform is expected to be completed this winter.
