Mobilicity wants national holiday for contract breakers

TORONTO – Mobilicity has proposed a new national holiday aimed at helping to end wireless contracts in Canada. The cheeky, wireless upstart said Wednesday that it has applied for official holiday status for ‘National Break Your Wireless Contract Day’ whereby Canadians can get out of their contracts without incurring “unfair, punitive early contract termination fees”.  To help gain support for the proposed new holiday, consumers will receive a $200 credit this weekend if they switch to Mobilicity.
