Mobilicity gives Canadians more to gobble about on Thanksgiving

TORONTO – Mobilicity is doing more than just talking turkey, it’s giving out free turkeys to help customers celebrate Thanksgiving.

Customers who sign up for Mobilicity’s $40 plan at participating stores will receive a coupon for a free Butterball turkey, while supplies last. The wireless upstart is also donating turkeys to community shelters in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver to help ensure those less fortunate enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

In addition, Mobilicity head office employees are volunteering at a local food bank and the company is holding a staff food drive to help the food bank reach its donation goals.

“We have a lot to be thankful for,” said chief customer officer Anthony Booth, in a statement. “We want to express our thanks to the growing number of Canadians who continue to make Mobilicity their mobile carrier and we want give back to the community and ensure others have a happy Thanksgiving.”
