MONTREAL – One of the founders of broadcast equipment manufacturer Miranda technologies, Christian Tremblay, was killed in a car accident last week. He was 53.
“Christian will be remembered by his current and former colleagues, and many throughout the broadcast industry, for his humanity, wisdom and drive," said Strath Goodship, Miranda’s president and CEO, in a statement. "He launched and advanced many careers, providing selfless invaluable advice and encouragement. He will be profoundly missed but will continue to inspire many. On behalf of all Miranda employees, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to Christian’s family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult period."
After leaving Miranda in 2002, after 12 years, he landed at Algolith, an image enhancement technology company (which makes MPEG noise reduction processors, for example) serving the post-production industry, media server manufacturers, IPTV companies and so on. "Balancing an indomitable drive to succeed with the needs of individuals, Christian would be the first to extend a helping hand to any who needed it, support his colleagues and employees in crisis, and remain true through a storm, no matter what the implications," said that company in a release.
