Miller to chair IO board


TORONTO – Broadcast lawyer and engineer Peter Miller has been named chairman of the board at Interactive Ontario, assuming the role from marblemedia’s Mark Bishop.

With 20 years of media, production and distribution experience from senior positions with the Vision TV group of companies, CHUM Limited and the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, Miller was elected to the Board at the Interactive Ontario annual general meeting in April.

In addition, Trevor Fencott of bitHeads will assume the role of Secretary from Diana Cafazzo, Lucie Lalumière has been re-appointed for another term as Vice Chair, and Spence McDonnell has been re-appointed for another term as IO’s Treasurer.

“Our staff and Board would like to express our deepest gratitude to Mark Bishop and Diana Cafazzo for their incredible contributions to Interactive Ontario,” said IO president and CEO Donald Henderson, in the announcement.  “Diana and Mark were each here when IO was created in 2001 and they have each played a significant role in shaping both the organization and the interactive industry in Ontario for more than a decade. We are grateful to have had their guidance and assistance.”
