HALIFAX – DHX Media has replaced its CEO and CFO as it forges ahead with a strategic review that kicked off last October and may include the sale of the company.
The children's content and brands company said Monday morning that Dana Landry is stepping down as CEO and from the board of directors to pursue other projects, and will be replaced by executive chair Michael Donovan.
Donovan (pictured) was CEO of DHX Media from its founding in 2006 through August 2014. Prior to that, he co-founded and was chairman and CEO of Salter Street Films, which was purchased by Alliance Atlantis in 2001.
"Dana has been with us from the beginning, from start-up to global media company, and we thank him for his significant contributions to our growth”, Donovan said in the announcement. “We wish him well with his future projects."
In addition, former Canwest and Postmedia exec Doug Lamb has been named CFO, replacing Keith Abriel who will be leaving the company after a “short transition”.
"(Lamb’s) depth of experience at senior levels in the Canadian media sector and his experience with respect to capital markets will serve the Company well", Donovan added.
