MAVTV Canada to air eSeries Road to Indy live

BURLINGTON, Ont. — Motorsports specialty service MAVTV Canada announced this week it will begin airing live the eSeries Road to Indy, starting Saturday March 28th at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Each race will feature competitors representing all three levels of the driver development platform. Headlined by Ricmotech Racing Simulators and administered by Xtrememotorsports, drivers will contest these five road course events.

The rounds of races are as follows:

  • Saturday March 28th, Barber Motorsports Park
  • Saturday April 4th, Circuit of the Americas
  • Saturday April 11th, Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • Saturday April 18th, Road America
  • Saturday April 25th, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Rob Howden, the official voice of the Road to Indy, will lead the eSeries race commentary, which will mirror an actual race weekend with pre-and post-race ceremonies.

All competitors will be racing for a cause as all registration fees to enter will be donated into a fund to support Covid-19 relief efforts.

“In these trying times it’s even more important to find ways to give people an outlet to find some familiar enjoyment” said Mike Garrow, president of MAVTV Canada, in the press release. “I would like to thank all who helped pull this together in such a short amount of time for the viewers at home, Rick Pereira our GM, the folks at Road to Indy, Ricmotech Racing Simulators, Xtrememotorsports, Apex Racing and Nextologies. Enjoy the races and do what you can to support your local hospitals and each other,” he added.

Following each live iRace from the series MAVTV Canada will be airing Road to Indy Rewind 2019 with host Todd Lewis providing some further insight to the 2019 season.
