Martin heads up programming at GlassBox


TORONTO – GlassBox Television has named Marcia Martin to the newly created position of senior vice president creative content, commissioned and in-house programming.

Working with both in-house and independent producers, Martin will oversee all aspects of original content including development, production, co-production and licensing for Bite TV, AUX TV and Travel & Escape channels.

“Marcia is among the country’s foremost production executives, with a track record for leading the creation of some of the most successful program brands in Canada and around the world”, said co-CEO Raja Khanna, in Wednesday’s announcement. “As we expand original entertainment and lifestyle offerings on our channels, Marcia’s talent for developing unique content with style and a fresh attitude is perfectly suited to GlassBox viewers.”

Martin (pictured) started her career at Chum Television, where she held numerous production and management positions before becoming VP of production for Chum’s 33 local conventional television and national specialty channels. Upon Chum’s purchase by CTVglobemedia, Martin became senior vice president, executive producer, specials, CTV.
