TORONTO – Staying Tuned, BBM Canada’s annual media research conference will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto. This year’s event will feature a panel of international speakers focusing on the latest audience measurement theories, practices and ideas.
This year’s keynote speaker is Tod Maffin (pictured right), president of engageQ digital and one of Canada’s go-to commentators on the impact of accelerated technological change and innovation on the business and economic environment.

Maffin’s session is called “The Social Station – Broadcasters’ New DNA.” With stations are struggling to use social media to engage with and broaden their audience, he will discuss how leading broadcast brands are exploiting social virality to connect with their viewers and listeners. Maffin will talk about what makes a successful second-screen app, how many people you really need on your social media team, whether you can connect social metrics to ratings, and more.
