Sherri Clark moves into Global Toronto news director role
Global News on Wednesday announced Mackay Taggart has been promoted to director of its eastern stations.
Most recently Global News’ Ontario regional director of news, Mackay will now oversee the newsrooms at Global Montreal, Global Halifax and Global New Brunswick, along with the four Global Ontario stations he currently manages — Global Toronto, Global Durham, Global Kingston and Global Peterborough.
“Mackay’s vision and strong leadership skills will ensure that Global News continue to deliver the highest quality of production for all the markets in the Eastern Region,” says an emailed announcement from Global News’ parent company Corus Entertainment.
As part of the change, Sherri Clark will now move into the Global Toronto news director role.
“Sherri brings extensive experience as both a News leader in Calgary and a News Director for Global Regina and Saskatoon,” the announcement says.
