MONTREAL – Canadian Broadcast Sales has hired Veronica Low to spearhead its new venture into Quebec.
Coming over from Astral Media Radio, Low will be Director, Business Development, of CBS Radio Quebec and will be uniting three large forces in the Quebec radio industry Corus, Cogeco and Radio Nord. CBS Radio Quebec, under Low’s leadership, will bring three broadcasters under one purchasing umbrella and will offer a dedicated resource in the province for uniting advertisers with radio stations and listeners, says CBS.
“The combination of Corus, Cogeco and Radio Nord under this new initiative strengthens the opportunities to deliver strong messages in the Quebec marketplace and offer CBS clients the high level of service that they deserve nationwide,” said Patrick Grierson, president, Canadian Broadcast Sales. “Veronica Low (pictured) brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Quebec marketplace with a proven track record of success for clients and agencies.”
With roughly 25% of Canada’s population in the region and spending close to $90 billion in retail, CBS Quebec becomes a one-stop-shop with access to media planning, research and marketing assistance through integrated and multi-format programs tailored to the market and client needs. CBS Quebec will be able to offer agency planners, buyers and businesses the most efficient and effective opportunities for purchasing strategic advertising in Quebec markets. Having a dedicated resource in the province will allow for focussed sales solutions and marketing opportunities.
“I am thrilled to be part of an innovative team that can offer ground-breaking solutions to advertisers in Quebec,” said Low, in the release. “We will be able to create a solid one-to-one connection between client and consumers.”
