LONDON, UK – Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Networks joint venture Blue Skye Entertainment has launched a new, direct-to-consumer SVoD service called Love Nature 4K in 32 countries.
Subscribers in countries including UK, Australia, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand and Switzerland will enjoy documentaries, series, featured themes and exclusive natural history scenes updated weekly. This content will offer stunning wildlife and nature footage, in addition to provocative programming following environmental issues that impact the globe, while inspiring viewers to open up a dialogue on wildlife conservation, reads the news release.
The ad-free app, available on Amazon Appstore, Google Play, Roku’s Channel Store and LoveNature.com, offers a £3.99 monthly subscription, or price equivalent, across all 32 launch territories after a one-month free trial. The service is available in 4K on Amazon Fire TV, Nexus Player, Philips Android TV, Roku streaming players, Roku TV models and Sony Android TV and in HD on Xbox 360.
“We are committed to connecting natural history lovers to the beauty and wonder of nature and its fight for survival in a changing world,” said Love Nature (International) managing director Jo Parkinson, in Monday’s release. “Nothing looks more spectacular in 4K than natural history content and our new Love Nature SVOD service will allow us to meet the growing demand for high quality, 4K content in this category.”
Dedicated to supporting worldwide environmental conservation, Love Nature will donate a percentage of the proceeds of each purchase to wildlife and nature charities around the globe; including the Jane Goodall Institute UK, Game Rangers International and Wild is Life Zimbabwe. This funding will directly contribute to the efforts of these non-governmental organizations that help preserve the world’s most vulnerable wildlife species and habitats.
Love Nature is currently shooting in over 40 locations around the world including Asia, Africa, Australia, the Middle East and South America and plans to include additional shooting locations in the coming months.
