TORONTO – Standard Interactive announced today it has partnered with Live365 to represent the company`s on-line advertising sales in Canada.
Established in 1997, Live365 (www.live365.com) is the world’s largest Internet radio network that hosts nearly 10,000 stations and streams music to nearly five million listeners a month.
“Its mission is to make it affordable and easy for brands, associations, DJs, and even individuals to start their own radio stations and share their love for music to listeners around the world. Live365 has gone to great lengths to provide a legal and equitable means to stream music to listeners while paying royalties for the right to do so,“ says the press release.
The new partnership is “a valued component in our overall strategy to deliver on efficiency and not just sheer volume. We want to provide advertisers with the most targeted, engaged audience possible when it comes to the music and entertainment category,” said Jean-Marie Heimrath, president of Standard Interactive, in the release.
Ranked in the top 5 (according to ComScore, says the press release) of Canada’s on-line music networks, Standard Interactive has an extensive line-up of Astral Media and Newcap radio properties ranging from coast to coast, coupled with quality music sites such as Universal Music Canada (www.umusic.ca), Flow93.5 (www.flow935.com), Puretracks (www.puretracks.com), and Exclaim (www.exclaim.ca).
Astral Media combined with Standard Interactive delivers a total of 5.6 million unique visitors per month and 176 million page views per month on more than 160 music, entertainment, events and culture related websites nationally. Standard Interactive also syndicates music and entertainment content, including streamed audio and video, to online publishers and advertisers. Standard Interactive is an Astral Media company.
