Lite Access awarded additional $20-million contract by U.K.’s CityFibre

VANCOUVER — Micro/narrow trenching technologies company Lite Access Technologies has signed another deal with CityFibre, the UK’s third national digital infrastructure platform — this time for a fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) installation to more than 20,000 homes in Cambridge, England. The contract is valued at approximately $20 million over 21 months, according to the news release. CityFibre has network rollouts underway across the UK with plans to pass up to eight million premises with open-access full-fibre infrastructure as part of its £4-billion Gigabit City Investment Programme.
