He had been in charge of the TV broadcasting arm of the company (OMNI and Citytv) for a number of years but in November, new Rogers Media president and CEO Keith Pelley made Scott Moore president of the broadcasting arm and Sole was made chief content officer, He was to be responsible for the creation and execution of the Rogers Media content strategy.
At the time, the press release touted that “Sole And Moore To Play Big Roles In Rogers Media”

Sole (pictured) had been with Rogers for 23 years and presided over the growth of the TV arm from one multicultural channel (CFMT Toronto) to the many OMNI-TV stations across the country and the integration of the Citytv brand into the company, which was not without its rocky moments.
It’s not known why Sole is suddenly no longer with the company (he departed last week) or if a replacement will be named. A company spokesperson declined further comment on the matter.
