TORONTO – Continuing an ongoing North American trend, legendary rock band Led Zeppelin and Telus today announced the band’s music will only be available on mobile in Canada to Telus subscribers.
In the U.S. for example, AC/DC is exclusive to Verizon.
Telus will be the exclusive wireless service provider for ring tones, wallpapers, and full-song over-the-air downloads.
"Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band ever and their music transcends generations," said Steve Kane, president of Warner Music Canada. "We are excited to be working with a forward thinking partner like Telus to offer the group’s legendary catalogue of recordings across the entire spectrum of mobile products to longtime fans, as well as new, young fans discovering the band for the first time."
"Telus is excited to announce that for the first time in Canada, our wireless customers can get all the Led Zeppelin they want when and where they want it – only from Telus,” added David Neale, SVP of products and services.
