TORONTO – Education professionals are invited to attend the TFO Éducation Forum on learning beyond school walls to be held on February 25 and 26, 2013 in Toronto. At the event, whose working language will be French, Groupe Média TFO will host experts from various backgrounds who will share the fruits of their research and experience in this area. The forum will give educators the chance to share and to learn more about the resources and practices that TFO Éducation is now making available to them.
The forum opens at Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music on February 25, with a half-day conference on music and education. The guest speakers at this event will be François Mario Labbé, president of Analekta and agent of virtuoso violinist Angèle Dubeau and Dr. Jonathan Bolduc, an associate professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. Their presentations will be followed by a cocktail reception to mark the launch of Groupe Média TFO's new online education platform, TFO Éducation.
On February 26 the forum moves to Groupe Média TFO's downtown Toronto headquarters for a full day dedicated to exploring the new initiatives that TFO is developing with its education partners, including the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), the Centre franco-ontarien de ressources pédagogiques (CFORP), and SOS Devoirs, among others.
Over the past year, TFO has completed a range of research and development activities to offer a whole new web experience to TFO Éducation subscribers.
"The teaching resources that we now offer will provide teachers, students, and their parents with better support, because these resources are now more accessible and include innovative content that complements and enhances the products that we offer for more traditional classroom use,” explains Glenn O'Farrell, President and Chief Executive Office of Groupe Média TFO.

The redesigned TFO Éducation website plays a crucial role in supporting teachers through its multiplatform content offerings tailored to their needs adds Julie Caron, Manager of Educational Services at Groupe Média TFO.
“This all-new site offers many new functionalities. For example, it lets teachers create user accounts through which they can access TFO educational videos from any computer. It also lets teachers share resources with their classes and create bookmarks with personal annotations."
