LCN news specials to examine the Covid-19 pandemic, one year later


MONTREAL — TVA Group announced today its LCN 24-hour French-language news channel will present five specials this week looking at the impact of the coronavirus, one year after the global Covid-19 crisis started.

These news specials will be presented daily on LCN at 6:30 p.m. from Monday, March 1, and will focus on the following themes:

Monday, March 1: TVA Nouvelles’ parliamentary correspondent at the Quebec National Assembly Alain Laforest will discuss crisis management by political leaders.

Tuesday, March 2: Journalist Sylvain Drapeau will review the start of the pandemic on a global scale.

Wednesday, March 3: Journalist Yves Poirier will discuss the situation in long-term care hospitals (CHSLDs), hard hit by Covid-19.

Thursday, March 4: The crisis in schools and measures to protect children will be the subjects of this program led by journalist Andrée Martin.

Friday, March 5: Host of the program À vos affaires, Pierre-Olivier Zappa will discuss the economic crisis caused by the pause caused by the pandemic.

The shows will be replayed the same evening at 9:30 p.m. on LCN as well as on TVANouvelles.ca and on TVA+.
