TORONTO – Kevin Klose, president emeritus of National Public Radio, will be honoured by the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA) in recognition of his outstanding leadership in the broadcasting industry during its annual conference on Thursday.
The NABA international achievement award is presented annually to individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in broadcasting and commitment to the organization’s goals and principles.
Klose is a former editor, national and foreign correspondent with The Washington Post. He is also an award-winning author and international broadcasting executive, and joined National Public Radio in December of 1998.
NABA is a non-profit union of broadcasting organizations throughout North America, and is committed to advancing the interests of broadcasters at home and internationally. It’s 2009 conference and annual general meeting is being held in Washington, DC from June 3-5, 2009.
