WINNIPEG – In a salute to Canadian speed skater (and MTS spokeswoman) Cindy Klassen, a 15-foot snow sculpture of the Olympic medalist has been created at the corner of Broadway and Main in Winnipeg. The sculpture (pictured below), which depicts the popular local speed skater racing with a herd of bison, also acknowledges the continued support of MTS Allstream as a major sponsor of the annual Festival du Voyageur. And with temperatures below minus-30, the sculpture is in no danger of melting.
