MONTREAL – Media streaming technology and services company StreamTheWorld said today it has appointed Kevin Shea to its board of directors, effective October 2nd 2008.
He will also serve as chairman of the board of the growing company, which was founded in 2005.
“Kevin Shea is an experienced business leader, well-known and respected in the communications and broadcasting industries. With his outstanding track record he will be a great asset to StreamTheWorld, and we are pleased to welcome him to the board,” said Yves Eric Laliberté, president and CEO, in the press release.
Shea has over 30 years of experience in the Canadian entertainment, broadcasting, cable, telecommunications and culture industries, including stints with Bell Globemedia and Global Television. He is currently chair of the Ontario Media Development Corporation.
StreamTheWorld is dedicated specifically to broadcasters and publishers. The company is currently providing streaming video and audio content solutions to 200 clients worldwide (including AOL and CBS) with over 720 commercial media players deployed.
