MONTREAL – Bell Media has elevated Karine Moses to president of Bell Media Quebec, effective immediately.

Based in Montreal, Moses’ new role encompasses all programming, production, and scheduling operations for Bell Media's French-language TV properties including RDS.  She will also continue to lead Bell Media's Astral division and retain her current sales responsibilities in Quebec, continued Monday’s announcement.

The move follows Gerry Frappier's decision to retire on March 31, 2019. Formerly president of French-language TV and RDS, he will remain with Bell Media as a special advisor during the transition and leading up to his retirement.

"Karine is a highly innovative leader with expertise across multiple aspects of our business," said Bell Media president Randy Lennox, in the announcement.  "I am confident that her creativity, vision, and passion will ensure the successful management of our Québec-based properties now and into the future."

Moses has been with Bell for more than 20 years, and joined Bell Media in June 2016 in the dual role of president, Astral, and vice-president, Bell Media Sales, Quebec.

"I'm honoured to take the reins of Bell Media's business in Québec and I look forward to providing the stewardship required to ensure the company's continued success in the market," added Moses. "I'm committed to continuing the remarkable impact that Gerry Frappier has had on Bell Media and on the industry as a whole, while forging new ground for our business in the province's ever-evolving media landscape."
