Karaoke Channel hits the right notes with Virgin Media

MONTREAL – The Karaoke Channel has joined Virgin Media’s on demand TV platform.

Owned by Montreal’s Stingray Media, the Karaoke Channel features the world’s largest licensed karaoke library and karaoke service on TV and the Internet. U.K.-based Virgin Media recorded 200 million views of on demand TV content in the first three months of 2010.

“We know that karaoke has a universal appeal and that delivering high quality karaoke videos on demand is a fantastic customer experience” said Stingray Digital president Eric Boyko, in the announcement. “Viewers are seeking more from the digital world and Virgin Media’s customers will really appreciate the high standards of our recordings, the selection of songs, and the superior quality of our service.”

With almost 10 million customers, Virgin Media is the UK’s first quad-play provider of broadband, TV, phone and mobile.
