Pattison Media’s Lethbridge division is seeking an experienced Reporter / Anchor to add to the Lethbridge News Now team.
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Daytime reporting.
- Conducting interviews on-scene and over the phone.
- Daytime/afternoon anchoring of live radio newscasts.
- Anchoring morning radio newscasts.
Ideally, our next team member has a background in radio broadcasting as a news anchor. The LNN team shares responsibilities in the newsroom, with members covering news events in Lethbridge and the surrounding area, and voicing newscasts on Pattison Media stations WILD 95.5 FM and All-Hits B93.
Candidates should have:
- At least two years of experience working in a news broadcast environment.
- Post-secondary education in a broadcasting program.
- Strong on-air news anchoring skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent news judgement and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- A valid driver’s license.
The LNN newsroom currently operates on a rotating on-call system for weekend work, which may require the successful candidate to cover news events on the weekend.
