Jennifer Twiner-McCarron named CEO of Thunderbird

VANCOUVER – Thunderbird Entertainment has promoted Jennifer Twiner-McCarron to CEO effective immediately, in addition to her role as CEO of Thunderbird subsidiary Atomic Cartoons. 

Twiner-McCarron (pictured) joined Atomic as head of production in 2011and helped to grow the company from 25 to more than 450 artists.  She became president of Atomic when the company was acquired by Thunderbird in 2016.  Within the year, interim Thunderbird CEO Ivan Fecan named her co-president of Thunderbird, a role that she shared with Great Pacific Media’s Mark Miller.  Miller now assumes the role of president of Thunderbird, while continuing as CEO of Great Pacific Media (which Thunderbird purchased in 2014).

“Thunderbird has never been in greater shape and demand for content is growing exponentially”, said Fecan, now executive chair of the production company.  “Jenn is an enormously talented leader and the right person to build on this opportunity. Her reputation for integrity, for creating an environment where quality work flourishes has been behind much of the amazing success of Atomic.”

The Vancouver-based multiplatform entertainment company creates award-winning programming for Canadian and international broadcasters, and boasts divisions in scripted and unscripted development and production, theatrical distribution, and animation.  Recent projects include the film Blade Runner 2049, Canadian comedy Kim’s Convenience, Heavy Rescue: 401 and the animated Netflix original series Beat Bugs.
