
OTTAWA – Industry veteran and Hollywood Suite chair and co-founder Jacob (Jay) Switzer was invested into the Order of Canada Monday at a ceremony in Toronto.
Created in 1967, the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest civilian honours, recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation. Appointments are made by the governor general on the recommendation of the Advisory Council for the Order of Canada, and close to 7 000 people from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order in the last 50 years.

Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to the advancement of the quality and viability of our country’s media, and has been a champion of independent Canadian feature film and television productions. Passionate about nurturing emerging talent, he is a beloved mentor within the industry.”
