Is your kid’s bus late? CHUM knows

TORONTO – Drawing on a database of over 20,000 bus routes, CHUM Ltd. launched "School Bus Monitor” yesterday, an exclusive service that allows parents and students to monitor individual school buses.

CHUM’s morning TV viewers and radio listeners will continue to receive up-to-the minute information on school bus delays and cancellations as they happen (especially important when it comes to our winter weather).

What’s different is that in the event of a delay/cancellation, parents and students will now be able to monitor the status of their own school bus by logging on to a participating station’s website. Detailed information will be available from a database of more than 20,000 routes, serving over 4,000 schools across Southern Ontario from Windsor through Toronto to the Muskokas, to the National Capital Region.

The "School Bus Monitor" was conceptualized and developed by A-Channel London (formerly The New PL) five years ago and has been in operation since. School boards, bus lines, principals or bus drivers across the province provide immediate notification to the School Bus Monitor as delays or cancellations occur.

The School Bus Monitor is available on the following CHUM stations in Ontario:
