IP sales steady at Allstream


TORONTO – MTS Allstream signed 59 new IP contracts in the third quarter of 2011, as it continues to expand its IP fibre network into targeted markets across Canada.

Allstream has connected 224 buildings since the beginning of 2011, including 102 in the third quarter, bringing the total number of fibre-fed building's to 2,313 as of September 30th.  The company said that some of its newest customers include ADGA Group Consultants, Ipsos-Reid, Lexman Management Services, Livingston International, Maple Lake, Medipac International, Mindshark Marketing, Quantum Financial Services (Canada), Tecsys, Camilion Solutions and Carfinco.

"Allstream's success in the IP market is largely driven by the growth of our fibre network in major urban centres across Canada”, said president Dean Prevost, in a statement.  “We are pleased that our strong IP sales momentum has continued throughout the third quarter, which reflects the success of our strategy of focusing on mid-market on-net sales.”
