Internet TV Democracy launches

WORCESTER, Mass. – Democracy launched on Wednesday, a new open source internet TV system. The non-profit Participatory Culture Foundation (www.getdemocracy.com) launched Democracy, which it is billing as a 'TiVo for web video' system. Democracy uses RSS and BitTorrent "to give everyone their own TV station, leapfrogging over existing systems from Apple, RealPlayer, Flash, and Microsoft," says the press release.
