Internet companies boosting TV ad spend

TORONTO – A large number of Internet-related businesses are spending an increasing amount of money on TV advertising, according to data released Thursday by thinktv, Canada’s television marketing and research association. Companies like Expedia, Wayfair, Skip the Dishes, and Uber have collectively upped their TV ad spend by 160% over the past four years, including a 30% increase in last year alone.
