Innovation Canada, Newfoundland pledge $94M for high-speed internet

FERRYLAND, NL – The federal and Newfoundland governments announced Wednesday an investment of $94 million for Bell and Xplore to bring high-speed internet to over 36,000 homes in over 350 rural and indigenous communities in the province. Innovation Canada and the province partnered to deliver $136 million to connect the rest of the province, with $116 of that coming from the Universal Broadband Fund.
