Industry minister to address telecom summit

TORONTO – Industry Minister Maxime Bernier will deliver his first major telecom policy speech at the 2006 Canadian Telecom Summit in Toronto in June. Bernier’s speech will be held on June 14, and could address the report of the Telecom Policy Review panel, expected to be released soon. At a speech earlier this month in Ottawa during the Canadian Women in Communications awards ceremony, Bernier said he was looking forward to the panel’s recommendations and industry’s reception of the report.
