Improving cable’s bottom line, subscriber experience, highlighted at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo


EXTON, PA – More than a dozen companies will showcase products and solutions designed to improve cable operators’ bottom lines and subscriber experiences at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo later this month.

Scheduled for October 20 – 22 in New Orleans, the exhibitors in the Green and Networked Home Pavilions at the conference will demonstrate solutions that address a variety of sustainability-related needs including alternative and renewable powering; backup powering; power efficiency; power reduction; recycling and recovery; and travel reduction. The Networked Home Pavilion will also include a display of gateway and interactive products that will enable operators to significantly enhance the consumer experience.

“A key component of the mission of SCTE and SCTE Cable-Tec Expo is to bring new focus to the technologies that will impact the future of our industry,” said Jay Rolls, chairman of the program committee for SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2010 and SVP of technology for Cox Communications. “We’re rapidly approaching the time when sustainability and home networking will be parts of every operator’s business plan.”

Exhibitors in the Green Pavilion will include 4CableTV, Alpha Technologies, Aurora Networks, Cisco, Colt Recycling, CommScope, Electronic Recycling & Trading, Eltek Valere, ROUSH, and Safecom Ltd. Networked home pavilion exhibitors include Advanced Digital Broadcast, Alcatel-Lucent, Hitachi, NDS, SMC Networks, Tellabs and Vidiom Systems.
