Improved high-speed Internet coming to Nova Scotia, Nunavut

TRURO, NS and ARVIAT, NU - Nova Scotia’s Seaside Wireless Communications and Northwest Territories’ SSi Micro Ltd. are the latest two Internet service providers to benefit from the federal government’s Connecting Canadians program.Seaside will receive approximately $6 million to bring expanded and improved high-speed Internet services to approximately 14,000 households and businesses in Nova Scotia, in communities that include Pictou, Antigonish, Colchester, Guysborough, Inverness, Cape Breton, Cumberland, Richmond, and Victoria.The project is expected to be completed by August 2018, and will deliver average Internet speeds of 5 Mbps.“This project will go a long way toward our company's goal of closing the gap between rural...
