OTTAWA – Both Global National and CTV British Columbia were correct in reporting on a refugee case when they said the claimant was in Canada illegally, the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council said today. A group calling itself Media Watch complained about two different news reports about a deportation order which was broadcast on the two channels on January 9, 2008.
