SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, QC – IHR Telecom is now offering Channel Zero’s Silver Screen Classics and Rewind in high definition to its FTTH customers.
The non-profit organization, which provides telco services to residents mainly in the MRC Haut-Richelieu area who are underserved by commercial companies, said that the addition of these services “will be a welcome improvement” to its growing customer base.
IHR Telecom currently distributes more than 130 channels in HD and 4K via Clearcable Streams Content Distribution Network for content transport and transcoders provided by Inca Networks.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer HD signals to both rural and urban regions of Canada”, said Clearcable Streams president and CEO Rob McCann, in the news release. “By working with companies like Inca Networks, we can use advanced technologies to reduce the network barriers that prevented delivery of these high bandwidth broadcaster services in the past.”
IHR Telecom pledged to continue its migration to HD signals throughout its 210 km FTTH network.
