SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU – IHR Telecom today confirmed the addresses it will serve as part of the Éclair II project in the Haut-Richelieu and Brome-Missiquoi regional county municipalities.
“We are very happy to be able to officially announce to the citizens who are on the deployment plan of the Éclair II project that our services will be available to their homes shortly,” said Benoit Lanciault, general manager of IHR Telecom, in the release.
The Éclair II project, announced in July, is part of the Canada-Quebec Operation High Speed funding program.
“Approximately 900 households will have access to high-speed Internet through IHR Telecom’s fibre optic network through this subsidy program,” a press release says.
IHR Telecom also launched a new page on its website, which future subscribers can use to follow the company’s network deployment in their municipality. “Citizens will therefore be able to consult the deployment schedules by region, as well as the plan of the fiber optic projects in progress. As of now, residents of Haut-Richelieu and Brome-Missisquoi are invited to consult the currently deploying web page to check if their address is on the deployment plan of a project with IHR Telecom.”
