TORONTO — Starting today, iHeartRadio Canada stations across the country are launching radio contests offering more than $600,000 in total cash prizes, Bell Media announced Monday.
Virgin Radio stations across Canada are giving listeners the chance to win a grand prize of $100,000 with the Destroy Your Debt contest, which begins today.
Starting September 8, Toronto’s CHUM 104.5’s Beat the Bank contest will give away $100,000 in cash prizes to listeners across the Greater Toronto Area.
Also starting September 8, country music fans will have the chance to play Pure Country’s Music Challenge, putting their music knowledge to the test for the grand cash prize of $50,000.
Additional contests are running on iHeartRadio Canada stations in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and B.C.
“iHeartRadio Canada continues to deliver entertaining and engaging content for listeners with the return of some of radio’s most iconic contests, like Beat The Bank, as well as the addition of new ones in markets across Canada,” said Rob Farina, head of radio content, strategy and iHeartRadio Canada, in the news release. “We are hoping to bring some excitement and joy to listeners right now by giving them the opportunity to bring home some of these giant cash prizes.”
