TORONTO – IcebergRadio.com, Standard Broadcasting’s multi-music-channel Internet streaming portal, today announced the launch of its brand-new web site.
The new site features a new line-up of music on over 100 channels across a wide variety of genres. In addition, the site also offers exclusive on-demand content such as interviews, live performances, album launches, and specialty programs.
IcebergRadio.com is celebrating its tenth year on the Canadian music scene, too. “We were the first to bring online radio to Canada,” said Rob Bolton, national content director for Standard Interactive, in a release, “and we are still committed to bringing Canadians the best online listening experience, period.
“This is a service created by music fanatics for music fanatics. We pride ourselves in our programming expertise across many genres, and I truly believe there is a perfect channel for everyone, even if your tastes are eclectic or obscure," Bolton added.
IcebergRadio.com’s new programming lineup features a wide range of personalities, including blues authority David Barnard, world music expert Philly Markowitz, and electro DJs The Dukes. In addition, the web site hosts an extensive country selection overseen by veteran programmer Tom Tomkins, metal and hard rock from BW&BK publisher “Metal Tim” Henderson, and four new jazz channels, redesigned by Laura Brehaut.
“The Internet has put the power firmly in the listener’s hands and given them seemingly limitless choice when it comes to entertainment," said Jean-Marie Heimrath, president of IcebergRadio.com and Standard Interactive. "IcebergRadio.com is perfectly positioned to reach those who aren’t satisfied with what traditional radio offers. The relationship with our listeners is based purely on a love of music, and everything associated with it – this is our strength.”
