Huawei to invest $210M in R&D in Ontario

BEIJING, CHINA – Huawei will sink $210 million into doubling its Canadian research and development team in Ontario, a move that will also help to create 325 new jobs.When combined with existing research, development and operational plans, Huawei's total investment in Ontario over the next five years will be $500 million.  The announcement was made Saturday at Huawei's R&D Centre in Beijing, in conjunction with a visit by Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne on her China trade mission.With this new investment, Huawei will hire an estimated 250 new engineers and researchers, allowing its Canadian R&D team to address new opportunities in next...
